DENVER (CBS4) – Two trains sideswiped each other just north of Interstate 70 near the National Western Complex.
The impact ruptured one of the train’s fuel tanks and 2,000 gallons of diesel spilled.
“We’re on scene putting down a blanket of foam to make sure we don’t get any ignition sources,” Lt. Phil Champagne with Denver fire said.
A private contractor was called in to clean it up.
Nobody was injured.
