CRAIG, Colo. (CBS4) – New polls show Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is gaining ground on President Obama. Now CBS4 has confirmed Romney will visit the town of Craig on Tuesday.

Romney scheduled a public appearance in downtown Craig in Moffitt County around 9 a.m. He’ll hold events at Alice Pleasant Park.

The Craig Daily Press reported that the visit comes after the owner of the Deer Park Inn sent the campaign a video earlier this year. The video was entitled “The Perfect Storm Over Craig, Colorado.” It spotlighted the community’s economic dependence on the energy industry.
