Police Search For Thief Who Pours Lighter Fluid On Victims
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Colorado Springs are searching for a man who pours lighter fluid on his victims and threatens to set them on fire before robbing them.
Detectives are examining surveillance pictures of a man who cased a liquor store and then used a mustard bottle filled with lighter fluid to spray two clerks and a customer with the flammable substance.
The robber walked around the store like he was casing it before making his move.
"They were shocked, it was just unexpected. That's the biggest thing so they were shocked," said Coaltrain Liquor Store manager Austin Sherwood.
Police believe the same man has targeted other businesses around Colorado Springs including a hotel.
