Cherry Creek Water To Rise From Flushing Of Reservoir

DENVER (CBS4) - Look for the water to rise in Cherry Creek and the bike path may be flooded in some parts because the Army Corps of Engineers flushed sediment from the Cherry Creek Reservoir.

A release of water at the rate of 50 cubic feet per second was made Tuesday afternoon. That's about 75 million gallons of water.

The flood gates are once again open during Wednesday. The highest flows along Cherry Creek are expected between noon and 3 p.m.
