Swarm Of Bees Halts Rockies Game At Coors Field

DENVER (CBS4) - A swarm of bees briefly halted the Colorado Rockies game against Arizona Diamondbacks Thursday afternoon at Coors Field.

They showed up around 2:30 p.m. at the top of the 5th inning near the first base line, that's right next to the Rockies dugout.

The game was halted when Rockies first base coach Eric Young, Sr. was forced away from his position and photographers for Root Sports took shelter from the bees.

The game eventually re-started but the Rockies beat writer for the Denver Post, Troy Renck, tweeted a beekeeper was on the way.

Play resumed after after about four minutes but the bees started swarming on the dugout railing.

CBS4's Gary Miller is covering the game and tweeted they are playing "Let It Be" in the ballpark.
