Colorado A Below Average State For Working Mothers And Fathers
DENVER (CBS4) - When it comes to providing a good environment for working mothers and fathers, Colorado is barely getting a passing grade, according to a new study by the National Partnership for Women and Families.
Colorado was given a "D" for workplace rights for parents.
The report says many employers still fall short when it comes to pregnant women. Colorado has no laws beyond the federal Family and Medical Leave Act that guarantees job protection or leave for new or expecting parents who work in the private sector.
California and Connecticut were the only two states to receive an "A." Eighteen states received an "F."
