DENVER (CBS4)- Some big name schools are joining the trend of colleges and universities offering free online courses. Schools like MIT and Harvard University.
More students are getting their higher education online or at least taking some classes via the internet and spending fewer, if any, hours on campus.
4 On Your Side Money Saver Suzanne McCarroll shows us why this trend is catching on so quickly. Watch her report below.
There is some advice for those looking at online degrees.
- Make sure the school is accredited.
- Compare costs- sometimes online courses cost more but you may save money by not paying campus fees.
- Must be self-motivated- be realistic about staying motivated and working on your own.
