Eagle County Man Arrested On Sex Assault Charges

EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- An elderly Eagle County man was arrested at his home Monday morning by detectives from the Chaffee County Sheriff's Office on a charge of sexual assault on a child and incest.

Paul Eugene Breer lives near Carbondale. Breer, 81, is being held on $100,000 bond in the Eagle County jail pending his transfer to Chaffee County.

Deputies seized several computers and other electronic devices from the house after his arrest. They will be sent to an independent agency for forensic analysis.

Details of the alleged crime are being withheld by authorities to protect the victim's identity.

Authorities have reason to believe that other people have been victimized by Breer and are actively attempting to identify them. Detective Andy Rohrich of the Chaffee County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone to call him at 710-530-5729.
