Teen Rescued From Rock In Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A 16-year old boy is resting after a getting hurt while hiking in the foothills over the weekend.

The teen was hiking in South Valley Park near Deer Creek Canyon Sunday night when he got hurt and fell.

He wasn't able to get back down, but was able to use his cellphone and call for help.

It took two hours for rescue crews to reach him and bring him down during a technical rope rescue in the rain, cold and darkness.

He went to the hospital, but is expected to be okay.
