BROOMFIELD, Colo. (AP) – Vail Resorts Inc. says skier visits at its mountains this past season were down 12.6 percent from last season after a particularly mild winter.

Overall, skier visits to its Colorado resorts of Keystone, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek and Vail were down 8.9 percent. Visits to its Lake Tahoe-area resorts of Northstar and Heavenly were down 24.2 percent.

This season’s numbers are through April 22 and don’t include newly acquired Kirkwood in California.

The company said Tuesday that lift ticket revenue this past season was down about 0.3 percent from the previous season. Dining revenue was down 4 percent. Retail and rental revenue was down 0.3 percent.

However ski school revenue was up 0.3 percent, and revenue per skier visit from ski school, dining, and retail and rental operations increased 13.4 percent.
