DENVER (CBS4) – Some little league players in Denver are going green. They will soon be playing their games with a new environmentally-friendly LED scoreboard.
It’s all part of a renovation project at Swansea Park. The makeover is being supported by Colorado Chevy Dealers and EcoMedia, a division of CBS.
A Denver Parks and Recreation spokesperson says before the project the park was underutilized and starting to deteriorate.
“It’s engaging children, it’s also environmentally responsible with how we’re looking at utilizing the ballfield, and it shows true community partnership with the business and the city,” Erin Brown with Denver Parks and Rec said.
The park will eventually feature a new energy-efficient irrigation system.
In addition to the changes in Colorado, EcoMedia is also focusing on other urban areas nationwide. There
