Dinosaur Flats To Close Saturday For Cleanup Work
CANON CITY, Colo. (AP) -- The Dinosaur Flats area north of Canon City will be closed this Saturday while volunteers clean up litter.
Dinosaur Flats consists of 2,300 acres of public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management.
The agency says the Fremont County 4-H Sharpshooters, the Clover Rovers and Rock Solid Offroad 4-wheel-drive club are participating in the Saturday cleanup effort, which will focus on a 30-acre area that is open to target shooting.
The Dinosaur Flats Area will close Friday at sunset and reopen Sunday morning.
