Hookah Lounge Robbery Suspect Arrested

LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Loveland arrested a robbery suspect wanted in connection to two robberies Thursday afternoon.

Police were called to the 7-Eleven convenience store at 2081 W. Eisenhower on reports of a robbery that had just occurred. The suspect ran away on foot and officers searched for him in the area.

A few minutes later, a man matching the description from the 7-Eleven robbery was seen running across the 2700 block of Eisenhower by one of the officers.

About the same time Loveland Police Dispatch confirmed that a robbery had just occurred at the Hookah Lounge at 2717 W. Eisenhower.

After chasing the suspect, officers were able to catch up to him and arrest him.

Victims from both businesses provided police with descriptions of the suspect, now identified as Jack George Jacobs.

Victims also told police about a tire iron used in the robberies. The tire iron was recovered near where Jacobs, 18, was arrested.

Jacobs is facing charges of robbery, criminal attempt, menacing and theft.
