Vail Finds Solution To Frontage Road Parking Problem

VAIL, Colo. (CBS4) - The town of Vail has come up with a solution to its parking problems.

Vail's parking structures often fill up on busy weekends in the winter and summer. Drivers then park on the Interstate 70 frontage road which is maintained by the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Vail has agreed to pay for wider shoulders for people to park. Vail says it will cover the $150,000 in the cost of upgrades.

CDOT will allow people to park on the frontage road for 30 days per calendar year for no charge and will not ticket.
