DENVER (CBS4) – On Thursday Gov. John Hickenlooper will sign a bill he hopes will give a boost to Colorado’s spaceflight industry.
CBS4′s news partners at the Denver Business Journal report it limits liability to sub-orbital travel companies.
Front Range Airport in Adams County has already been dedicated as a site for space travel development. The manager there says the bill is key to space exploration so companies would be willing to invest without worry of major lawsuits.
A similar program and spaceport is already in the works in New Mexico.
