DU Student Breaks Leg After Getting Struck By Car While On Bike

DENVER (CBS4) - A student at the University of Denver is in the hospital with a broken leg after a car ran into her bike.

The accident was Monday morning at University and Asbury.

Sophie Hoad was on her way to class when a man pulling out of the Bruegger's Bagels parking lot ran into her.

Hoad's leg took the brunt of the impact, but luckily she didn't suffer any head injuries. She was not wearing a helmet.
