Colorado Red Cross Workers Help Out After Deadly Midwest Tornadoes

DENVER (CBS4) - Two members of the American Red Cross Mile High Chapter are helping out after the deadly tornadoes in the Midwest.

One worker is in Kansas and the other in Oklahoma.

Forecasters say 75 tornadoes touched down in four states, including one that killed six people in Woodward, Okla. Many in that town weren't warned because lightning knocked out warning sirens as the storm moved in.

One-hundred homes were destroyed in Woodward.

The Red Cross Mile High Chapter workers will be supporting the emergency response.
