3 In Custody After Shootout, High-Speed Chase In Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - Three men are in custody after a shootout and a high-speed chase ended with a crash in Colorado Springs.
Police were checking a suspicious sedan in a parking lot when the driver fled. Fifteen other police cars joined the pursuit and then someone inside the sedan started shooting.
One police car caught up to the vehicle and bumped it, sending it flying into a backyard play set.
"This guy was flying. He was probably doing a good 70 miles per hour, if not better," a witness said.
Nobody was hurt.
Police say the suspects were in a stolen car and were getting ready to rob a store.
