AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) – A large-scale construction project is set begin this month along Interstate 225 through Aurora.
The Colorado Department of Transportation approved a contract that will widen the highway to three lanes.
The project will mean work on I-225 between East Mississippi and South Parker Road. The Yale Street Bridge will be replaced, and eventually accomodate light rail lines from FasTracks.
The construction will cause some traffic detours and realignments. The project’s price tag is $42.8 million.
