Bagging Competition Kicks Off Fundraiser For Easter Seals & Special Olympics

DENVER (CBS4) - Even in the midst of Tuesday's snowstorm CBS4 forecaster Lauren Whitney found time to get a little grocery shopping in, and it was all for a good cause.

Whitney stopped by the Safeway at 14th and Krameria for a bagging competition to help kick off the month-long fundraiser for Easter Seals and Special Olympics.

Whitney was teamed up with Richard, who is a Special Olympics competitor.

"He may have been a ringer -- he's worked at Safeway for 23 years. So no real surprise -- we won!" Whitney said on CBS4 News at Noon.
