COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Officials have identified a first-time skydiver killed and an instructor injured when their main and reserve parachutes became tangled during a tandem jump.

Fremont County officials Monday say 35-year-old Jeremy Worrell of Crested Butte died in the accident Sunday. Sheriff's Capt. Don Pinover says 28-year-old Gregory Whitehurst of Fountain is in critical condition.

The Gazette previously reported that Whitehurst had more than 650 successful jumps.
