1 Killed In Fremont County Skydiving Accident
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A Fremont County official says one skydiver was killed and an instructor was injured when their main and reserve parachutes tangled during a tandem jump.
Sheriff's Capt. Don Pinover said Sunday that first-time skydiver was a 35-year-old man from Crested Butte. The Gazette reports that the 28-year-old instructor - who had more than 650 successful jumps - was taken to a hospital.
Investigators are looking into the accident at Fremont County Airport.
