Broncos Re-Sign Defensive End Jason Hunter

DENVER (AP) – The Denver Broncos have re-signed versatile free agent defensive end Jason Hunter, completing one of their offseason priorities.

The seventh-year pro has played in 92 games for Green Bay, Detroit and Denver, accumulating 128 tackles, 11 sacks, one interception, two forced fumbles and six fumble recoveries.

Hunter has played in all 32 regular season games and both playoff games for the Broncos since joining the team as a free agent in 2010. He started a dozen games that year while filling in for an injured Elvis Dumervil and recorded 59 tackles.

Hunter, who went undrafted in 2006 after leading Appalachian State to the Division I-AA national title, is valued for his versatility and sound technique. The Broncos made re-signing him a priority along with linebackers Joe Mays and Wesley Woodyard.
