Denver Police Search For Attempted Abduction Suspects

DENVER (CBS4) - Police in Denver would like the public's help locating two suspects in an attempted kidnapping that occurred Wednesday afternoon.

Raquel Lopez with Denver police said around 1 p.m. two men in a white Chevy S-10 pickup truck grabbed a 9-year-old girl and attempted to drag her to the vehicle. The pickup had a single piece of tubing sticking out of the bed of the truck.

"As the girl fought back the girl's mother approached and the suspect let go of the child," Lopez said in a statement.

The suspect then ran back to the pickup and the two men fled.

The incident happened near Eliot Street and 52nd Avenue.

The driver was described as a white man wearing a light blue baseball cap and missing some front teeth. The passenger was a white man, balding with straight hair around the sides. He was missing his top two front teeth.
