Fort Carson Soldier Dies In Afghanistan

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - The Department of Defense says a 27-year-old Fort Carson soldier has died in Afghanistan.

The department says Sgt. Daniel Brown died as a result of injuries from an improvised explosive device on March 24.

It was his second deployment. He was sent to Afghanistan in 2011 and Iraq in 2005.
