Man Accused Of Killing Mother Found Not Guilty
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- A Lafayette man accused of stomping on the head of his mother, who later died, was found not guilty of second-degree murder.
A jury in Boulder acquitted Adam Raszynski on Friday. His lawyers claimed he killed Rita Redford, 60, at their home in Lafayette in Feb. 2011.
Police said during a fight she fired six rounds at Raszynski, who then threw her down the stairs and stomped on her head and neck.
Raszynski had been living with his mother after being released from a Florida prison, where he served time for aggravated stalking. Police say that in the weeks before her death, Redford told friends that she was afraid of her son and kept a gun in her room.
