Denver, Colo. (CBS4) – The Denver Broncos on Friday continued to beef up their passing game signing a pair of tight ends. First they added former CSU Ram and Houston Texan Joel Dreesen. Dreesen is a local product, having attended Fort Morgan High School where he was an all state performer. Dreesen is entering his seventh year in the NFL.
later in the day, the Broncos announced that they have reached an agreement with former Indianapolis Colts tight end, and Peyton Manning’s former teammate, Jacob Tamme.
Tamme had his best NFL season in 2010 when playing with Manning. He had 67 catches o for the season, four of them for touchdowns.
Broncos Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Elway tweeted “Added two quality TEs and a good young CB (referring to newly signed cornerback Tracey Porter) to our roster today.” Adding “Joel Dreesen, Jacob Tamme and Tracey Porter will make big contributions for us in 2012.”
