Man Charged With Hitting 2 People With Car, Dragging 1

SUPERIOR, Colo. (AP/CBS4) - A 24-year-old man is facing assault and drunk driving charges in Boulder County after an incident in Superior in which his vehicle struck two people and dragged one of them more than 100 feet.

Authorities charged Joshua White this week for his alleged role in the crime, which happened early Sunday morning on the 7,000 block of Coal Creek Drive.

They said White got into an argument with Lacie Kupfner, 26, and then got into his SUV and hit her three times with it before driving away. After that he allegedly returned to the house and drove at her and Michael Johnson, 49, hitting them both.

The Daily Camera reported that Johnson was dragged underneath the vehicle for about 150 feet until he hit a rock and fell off.

Kupfner and Johnson were both hospitalized and suffered serious injuries.

The charges White faces include first-degree assault, vehicular assault and DUI. He is in jail on a $30,000 bond.
