Waterton Canyon Closed For Recreation Once Again

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Just weeks after a popular recreation area opened to hikers, fishermen and mountain bikers, it will be closed again.

Denver Water reopened Waterton Canyon March 1. It had been closed since July, 2010.

Now the canyon will be closed for three weeks starting April 1 to finish a dredging project on the Strontia Springs Reservoir to clear sediment from wildfires.
