ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) – An Arvada woman found guilty of animal cruelty was sentenced on Tuesday.

A judge placed Debe Bell to five years of supervised probation.

Last summer deputies found 193 rabbits inside a shed with poor ventilation inside cages that were filled with waste.

Under the probation Bell cannot own more than 25 animals and is subject to random inspections.

She also must complete 250 hours of community service.

Wow, she basically got off, some deterrent.

  • Denise

why is she allowed to have any animals???

  • D Ubalu

She should not be allowed to have any animals, and should receive a tougher sentence.

  • American Eagle

A good day for the Easter Bunny and his friends!

  • Merrie,

She should not be allowed to be near any animal and as a rabbit pet owner this is an outrage. Rabbits are the same as cats and dogs and if this involved either of those the sentence would be tougher. Ignorance is bliss
