Man Charged For Allegedly Setting Home On Fire With Kids Inside

DENVER (CBS4) - Prosecutors have filed 11 charges against a father accused of locking himself and his two children inside their burning home.

William Johnson faces charges that include attempted murder and child abuse. The incident happened in February in Northglenn.

Police say Johnson's wife called them to do a welfare check on her children. Investigators say he was cooperative and the children seemed fine. A short time later he allegedly set the house on fire.

One of Johnson's children suffered burns over 50 percent of her upper body.

Johnson is still hospitalized.
