Police Search For Suspects In Wallet Snatching, Credit Card Fraud
DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police would like the public's help locating two suspects who they say stole a woman's wallet and attempted to commit credit card fraud.
Sonny Jackson with Denver police said on March 7 around 1:15 p.m. the victim was in Whole Foods located at 7400 East Hampden Avenue.
"Two suspects took the victim's wallet from her purse, which was on her left arm," Jackson said in a statement.
Jackson said one of the suspects acted as a distraction while the other took the woman's wallet from her purse. One of the suspects then immediately went to the Walgreens located at 7190 East Hampden Avenue and attempted to purchase three $500 gift cards with the victim's credit card.
