Coloradans Travel To Help In Aftermath Of Midwest Tornadoes

DENVER (CBS4)– Help from Colorado is on its way to those areas ravaged by last week’s tornadoes.

Diane and Greg Ambrose have been married for nearly 40 years. Their new passion is volunteering for the Mile High Red Cross.

Thursday morning they headed out east to help those victims of the destructive tornadoes.

The couple got involved with the Red Cross after taking part in a training exercise.

“There we saw how much people could do helping each other. And that working independently, you can’t do as much but working together you can do almost anything,” said Diane.

The couple will first travel to Kentucky. They plan to help out by setting up computer systems to help the Red Cross get aid to where it’s needed.
