Niagara To Start Bottling Aurora Water

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) – Aurora’s water is known for winning taste tests, and now a California company is ready to bottle it.

The city of Aurora has approved an incentive package to bring Niagara Bottling to the city.

The company plans to build a facility near Interstate 70 and E-470 and bottle 300,000 gallons of the city water a day, six days a week. That will bring 36 new jobs to the city.

In exchange, the city is giving Niagara tax waivers and rebates of about $500,000 as long as that number of jobs is maintained.

I hope that no one in Aurora has been spending money to buy bottled water in the past few years, since their own tap water is now going to be sold for more money.
