Man Who Shot At Police After Casino Robbery Gets Life In Prison
GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - A man from Aurora will spend the rest of his life in prison after he tried to shoot a police officer during a casino robbery.
The judge sentenced Randy Keesee, 45, to 224 years in prison. Keesee was injured when the officer fired back. A jury convicted him of six charges last fall.
Keesee robbed the Famous Bonanza Casino in Central City in April 2010. During the robbery he threatened two cashiers with a semi-automatic handgun.
Keesee left the casino with $2,800. He also tried to shoot a police officer but the pistol wouldn't fire. he was arrested in a parking lot in Black Hawk.
