GRAND COUNTY, Utah (CBS4) – Rescue crews are searching for a snowmobiler from Colorado after an avalanche in Utah on Saturday.
The avalanche happened between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. at Beaver Basin in the La Sal Mountains in Grand County, Utah. A group of four were snowmobiling when an avalanche took one of them. The other three were able to ride back out. They searched for over an hour, then rode out where they could get cell service.
The missing snowmobiler is from Norwood, a small town near Telluride.
