2 Arrested In Stabbing Death Of Fruita Man

GRAND JUNCTON, Colo. (AP) – Authorities say two Clifton brothers have been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Fruita man.

The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday that 30-year-old Jose Juan Ortiz and 29-year-old Julio Sesar Ortiz have been charged with first-degree murder in Thursday’s death of 31-year-old Abel Roper. The brothers are being held in the county jail without bond.

No other details were released, and the arrest affidavits are sealed.
