Auto Thefts Are Down In Colorado

DENVER (CBS4) - Car thefts are down across Colorado, but police are warning drivers not to let down their guard.

The Department of Public Safety says 9,300 vehicles were stolen in Colorado last year. That's down 66 percent from 2005.

The most commonly stolen cars are the Honda Accord, Honda Civic and Acura Integra. That's because they're easy to break into and there's a high demand on the black market for the parts.
