Colorado Voter Registrations Invalid

DENVER (AP) - More than 17,000 Coloradans who are receiving voter registration applications from the Voter Participation Center may be signing insufficient forms.

According to the Secretary of State's office, the forms failed to include a signature field and affidavit required under state law and other deficiencies.

Secretary of State Scott Gessler says some voters might believe they're registered to vote and he's urging those who signed up to check with their county clerks.

The organization says it has sent postcards explaining the problem to all recipients and corrected forms will be sent in the next few weeks.
