LAKEWOOD (CBS4) – A store owner in Lakewood fought back when thieves tried to rob his check cashing store.
Police say two men approached the store owner Saturday night on West Colfax Avenue near Wadsworth Boulevard. They sprayed him with mace and tried to take the money he was carrying out of the store.
The owner then pulled a gun and wounded one of the suspects. The other man ran away.
Police say the two may be linked to other robberies in the area.
