Trash Truck Drives Into Sinkhole In Westminster
WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4) - People in one Westminster neighborhood say they were shocked to wake up to a trash truck stuck in a sink hole on Saturday.
The incident happened 72nd and Samuel. Water from a broken water main began filling the hole making it hard to see. That's when a Waste Management truck drove over it.
Crews worked to repair the break and filled the hole with sand. Neighbors said it was a mess.
"The hole itself was probably 20-by-20 and water covered the streets, flooded the gutters. It was a good break," resident Larry Crueschow said.
Water was restored on Sunday.
