DENVER (CBS4) – Prosecutors say a woman is in trouble after they say she withheld information about her daughter’s role in a hit-and-run crash.
Kimberly Jacobs is charged with being an accessory. Denver prosecutors say she didn’t tell police where her daughter, Taylor Mathis, 21, was after the accident last month.
Police eventually found Mathis. She’s accused of hitting and injuring two people last month near East Colfax Avenue and Ogden Street. Police say Mathis drifted into the center lane and hit two pedestrians.
The arrest affidavit states that Mathis drove off and then returned to the scene a few minutes later to check out what happened, but then left again.
