GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- A jury has cleared a former police officer in Greeley of sexually assaulting a woman during a traffic stop.

Jurors delivered the not guilty verdict for Daniel Shepherd on Wednesday. His accuser claimed Shepherd followed her from a party then stopped her and groped her.

Shepherd said the woman never got out of the car and he asked her to find another ride. He said he was embarrassed he allowed her to drive while drunk.
