Districts don’t have a uniform policy when it comes to closing for bad weather because conditions vary from district to district.  What works for Jefferson County may not work for Denver or Aurora.

For instance, the policy for Jefferson County School Districts is they will close a portion of the district while leaving the rest of the district open because the conditions may not be bad everywhere.  However, if a part of the district serviced by Cherry Creek Schools is bad, the entire district is closed.
