Restaurant Week: Take Action Soon For Best Experience
DENVER (CBS4) – It’s never too early to book reservations for Denver Restaurant Week!
The website denverrestaurantweek.com with the list of restaurants and menus just went live, so you can check out the link and make your plans according to several criteria.
You can search by neighborhood and find some new gems, look for a new or favorite culinary genre or find your favorites listed alphabetically.
I like to peruse the list for restaurants I know I’ve heard of, but never tried and check out the menu. I send my husband a list of some of the menus I think he’d go for (extremely picky eater) and we make our directions right there on the site.
Just click on the restaurant and it will take you to the online reservation service. So easy! Unless, of course, you’re too late! The Denver Metro area’s most popular restaurants — and the little neighborhood favorites book up really, really fast.
I’d recommend picking several dates and restaurants and calling NOW.
In case you’re new to Restaurant Week, this year it runs from Feb. 25 through March 9. Dozens of participating restaurants offer up some of their signature dishes (usually three or more courses) in a prix fixe menu for $52.80 per couple or $26.40 for one.
Many of the restaurants offer deals on wine pairings for the week as well. If that’s the case, it should be listed on the menu. It’s a great opportunity to take a culinary adventure!
My best bargain tip — use this opportunity to check out a really, really nice restaurant that would normally be a little too pricey for your tastes.
If there’s a spot you’ve always wanted to try, now you can do it — on a budget.
My husband and I sometimes wait until Restaurant Week to do our Valentine dinner. I always say I’m going to try something new, but it’s hard for me to miss out on my favorites, like Gabriel’s, Venice and Pesce Fresca.
What are your faves?
It’s so hard to pick just two weekends’ worth! The menus look divine this year.
