2 Pedestrians Seriously Hurt In Hit & Run On Colfax
DENVER (CBS4) - A man and a woman in their 40s were seriously injured on Monday night when they were hit by a car on East Colfax Avenue.
The crash happened at about 10:30 p.m. outside the Ogden Theatre near the intersection of Colfax and Ogden Street.
The pedestrians were standing in a turn lane and waiting for a break in traffic before they were hit. Police said the driver drove away after the collision.
A witness followed the sedan -- white 2007 Kia Rio -- and reported the license plate number to police.
Authorities said Tuesday the car had the Colorado license plate 102-WWC.
So far it's not clear what the extent of the injuries were to the two victims, but they are both expected to survive.
