DENVER (CBS4) – It’s not just elephants moving into the Denver Zoo’s new Toyota Elephant Passage exhibit. Four clouded leopards are also settling in.
Two are 10-year-old females — Tenchi and Mattie. There’s also 1-year-old female Lisu, and 1-year-old boy Taji.
Clouded leopards are actually not really leopards. They are their own species of big cat — neofelis.
They are considered the bridge between cats like lions and tigers and smaller ones like pumas and lynx.
