Fort Collins Man Accused Of Arson Faces Attempted Murder Charges

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - A Fort Collins beekeeper accused of starting an apartment complex fire now faces two additional charges of attempted first-degree murder.

David Benjamin Gilmore, 29, an outspoken Occupy Fort Collins activist, also faces an additional count of arson and criminal mischief. The charges were filed by the Larimer County district attorney.

The October fire destroyed the four-story Mason Street Flats building under construction and damaged the next-door Penny Flats.

Court documents remain sealed.

Gilmore has maintained his innocence. He's out of jail on a $250,000 bond after he was arrested Nov. 4.
