Brothers Arrested For Stealing Copper Worth $96,500 From RTD

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Authorities in Jefferson County on Friday arrested two brothers for stealing copper wiring from a construction site for the Regional Transportation District's FasTracks light rail system.

Jefferson County deputies arrested Frankie Reynolds, 40, and his brother, Steven Anthony Reynolds, 42, for stealing an estimated $96,500 in copper wiring.

Authorities also said there was an estimated $250,000 in damages.

One incident happened on Jan. 2 at West 6th Avenue Frontage Road South and Arbutus Drive.

A second incident was reported on Jan. 9 at the light rail construction area at West 6th Avenue and Interstate 70.

Frankie Reynolds is being held on a $5,000 bond. He's due in court on Friday.

Steven Reynolds is being held on a $25,000 bond. He's due in court on Monday.
