Police Search For TJ Maxx Gunmen
AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Aurora are looking for two gunmen who robbed a TJ Maxx store.
Shoppers called 911 when two men ran into the store at 2350 S. Parker Road around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
This is a portion of some of the 911 calls police dispatch received that night.
Shopper: "TJ, TJ Maxx. There's a robber and shooting."
911 Dispatch: "There's a robbery and shooting?"
Another shopper: "The two gentlemen came in with guns."
Another shopper: "We just heard the shot and we all ran into the fitting room."
Another shopper: "I only saw one male in a blue hoodie."
911 Dispatch: "Okay, do you know about how old he was?"
Shopper: "I didn't see because I think he had like a mask on."
Another shopper: "I'm a customer."
911 Dispatch: "Okay. Are you hurt?"
Shopper: "No."
No one was hurt. The thieves ran away after firing one shot.
The suspects are described as black men. The first suspect was wearing a royal blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white shoes. The second suspect was wearing an orange or tan jacket and black pants. Both were wearing masks.
Aurora detectives believe there are similarities between the TJ Maxx robbery and two AutoZone robberies that happened Thursday on S. Federal Blvd. in Denver. Aurora detectives and detectives from Denver will share information on the cases.
